How much money will be held?

There is no set amount for a Security Sum and a decision is usually made between the surveyors to agree what could go wrong and how much is therefore required. The principle is that the Security Sum should cover any costs that might arise if the building owner stopped the works part way through, caused damage or unnecessary inconvenience.
